When you buy your needle make sure its the size that you want. Find the lip ring that you like and make sure its the size you want as well. Use mouthwash before and after to make sure your mouth is clean. Make sure that everything and every surface you touch has been wiped down with diluted bleach solution. Wear gloves and make sure your hands are clean. Mark the spot you want it with a marker. Pierce your lip from the outside in. Insert the lip ring through the needle. When you are done, do not play with it. You can soak it with a cotton swab to clean the area. You should clean the area for 6 to 8 weeks twice a day.
