What is a Dollar Bill Made of

Report as

The dollar bill that is in use today was designed in 1957. What most people call &quot, paper money&quot, or (the dollar bill) is actually made from a blend of cotton and linen. If you look closely you'll see that it also contains red and blue fibers made of silk as an anti-counterfeit measure.

Paper currency is made out of a mixture of linen and cotton. There are also many tiny fibers of blue and red silk fibers embedded in the material.
