Why did I suddenly develop tightness and bruise feeling in my upper right chest? (Read the Additional Detail Box.)

I am 15 years old with asthma I have an emergency inhaler, and take medication for it. yesterday, I suddenly developed a bruised feeling in my upper right chest. The next day I still have it but with some tightness. Would for getting to take some medication cause a problem? What do you suggest to make feel it better? Do you know anyone who had a similar problem? Please Help I am getting worked up over this matter.

My aunt had such a problem and she used to suddenly experience that. I think it is a normal reaction to people with asthma. Sometimes it happens that you get contaminated air and thus allow bad air to enter through your nostril. I would however, advise you to consult a doctor.

I have serious Asthma.2 months ago I almost died.I got a Tight feeling on one side of my chest, I noticed that when I leaned back in my Lazy Boy that I began to Wheeze a little.I took my inhaler, but a few hours later I was becoming a little short of breath.I tried to ignore it,but my husband got me to the doctor...and he said that I was not Oxygenating. He treated me,and said that if I could just stay alive until 9PM that evening, then he said I would most likely Pull Through. He also said to Never Ignore that tight, bruised feeling in the chest again.Almost cost me my Life.WestieJ.
