Is it illegal to date a 19 year old boy when you are only 15?

I really want to date this guy because I'm in love with him and he told me that I'm in love with him. I just don't want 2 get him sent to jail because then i will want to go with him.

He is legally an adult, and therefore it is illegal for him to have a relationship with a minor. If you both really love each other, then waiting a few more years until you turn 18, shouldn't be a problem.

Yes it is illegal. My daughter is 17 dating a 19 yr old and it's still illegal but they have our consent because they've been together for 3 yrs but if you have reasons to be concerned for safety purposes, maybe the relationship needs to be put on hold for awhile. Good luck. Teenage decisions are difficult

I'm not sure people are correct in their answers (please correct me if I'm wrong). It's not illegal at all to date somebody in this situation, what is illegal (for him) is to have sex.

I honestly don't know how the courts deal with this. It seems unreasonable, for example, to prosecute a 17 year old and 18 year old.

15 and 19 is more clear cut. Don't have sex... easy to say, right?

Best of luck. You could go live in Europe for a while, things are considered differently there.

If That guy is worth anything he's gonna go for someone else next year anyway, date someone who isn't a loser 19 year old and go for some nice, legal person your age.
