What do you do when a longtime friend never wants to hang out anymore?

I've been like best friends with this guy for like 11 or 12 years now and lately for like the past few months he never wants to hang out. He tells me he's busy or that he already has other plans but I'll see on Facebook that he's hanging out with some of his other friends(my friends too some of them). I've asked him a bunch of times if he's mad at me about something and he says no and when I see at school he says hi to me as if nothing is wrong. I don't really know what to do. Any opinions?

Well, since you have tried talking to him and he does not want to open up, I don't think he is interested in your friendship anymore. Don't beat yourself up, since you deserve to be treated better than this. I suggest you move on and make new friends. Once he realizes the kind of a friend he has lost, he will really be sorry.

Sometimes people just grow apart. It happens more often the older you get.

Random question but does the 'r' in your screen name stand for Randy by any chance. Years ago i went to school with a Randy Shackleford. Everyone called him Shack.

Friendships end sometimes. Its sad but normal. Grieve a bit, file it under life experience, and move on.
