Withdrawal symptoms will probably last a few days. It is more ideal to slowly wean off of ur scripts and withdraw in a safe setting with experienced people though. Considering all the health problems you are probably needing your medication to function. I am asking you to consider you quality of life and living with pain. Most likely doctors will only strongly advise you not to smoke. If not you can always change doctors. I would hate for you to be bed ridden because of pain and become weak for the sake of smoking.

Stopping all your pills at once may be dangerous. Smoking as you know can cause and affect other health issues. It sounds like you need some good support to help you get through these tough times. I think you should still have a doctor manage your care. Good luck.

Please don't stop taking your medications all at once! You could die from the withdrawal.
Maybe it's time to find a new Pain Specialist who doesn't care if you smoke. Most doctors will tell you that you should quit but don't go so far as withholding medication. It sounds like the meds you're on aren't working for you if you are living in a hospital bed & a portapotty. It sounds like a quality of life issue. I have many problems with pain. I have not had a pain-free day in 30 years. Ask yourself 3 questions: With the medications currently prescribed to you, what is your pain on a scale of 1-10?
What is your disability level on a scale of 1-10?
What is your quality of life on a scale of 1-10?
The scale is 1 being the lowest amount & 10 being the highest.
I think you will see that you need to get better help than you have now. I hope you have a caretaker or family member or friend to help you. If you don't you must do this for yourself. My heart goes out to you. Please find a doctor who can change your life. Instead of barely existing with the pain it is time for you to soar. I know you can do it because I did it. I went from being in a bed 24/7 to getting out in a wheelchair to learning to walk again to my life now. Though my body may defy me with pain it is my life & pain will not rule my life, I will. Please let me know how things are going with you. I will pray you start to get a better chance at life.

No one can deny you medication for using a legal substance like tobacco. I wish you had asked before you flushed them. You won't be able to get through it alone. It sounds like your caretakers lack empathy. I once had a 250 lb. nurse scold me for smoking. I had to really bite my tongue since she's killing herself faster than I am. Call your doctor right now and tell him what you did. I hope you are still able to.
