If you want an inside cuddly pet, I suggest a cat. The downside is cats scratch furniture and tend to be moody, and they reproduce rapidly. They don't require the most food, either.
If you want an extremely playful friend, dogs are good. Unlike cats, they don't sleep as much, or scratch. BUT, they do chew as a puppy unless trained properly. Dogs require lots of food, playtime, and friendship. And toys. Dogs LOVE toys and treats.
Whichever you choose, it all depends on what you're wanting.
In my opinion cats:) their so sweet and they'll relax and lay down with you. And when they pur it's so relaxing to know your best friends there with you. Dogs are good too but cats are better listeners:)
Everyone is going to tell you exactly the same pet kind that they like. You should ask youself the basic question of "what do I like better, and why". Both dogs and cats are beautifull animals and both have their plus and minus "things". Me personally... I grew both. Today I think cats are better because you don't need to clean too much after them. Also your exampt from going out three times a day, so it's easyer.
I have a pitbull and a cat. Cat was a stray n my dog was one of the dogs from those puppy mill that I adopted. They get along great but I have to say a dog listens better. Cats are independent and don't like affection like a dog does. ;)
