Does an agnostic believe that there is some sort of god? Or, that there's some sort of something but they don't know what?
The term simply means "one who doesn't know." Most agnostics I know believe that there is something else, but don't know what. Some agnostics don't believe in anything else but aren't willing to say definitively that they are right.
Just a possibility that there is...
They're waiting for proof, from what I understand.
Agnosticism deals with knowledge. They can either believe or not believe.
An agnostic can not believe or disbelieve but be committed to the knowledge of God being unknowable,
I think agnostic is often used by a person who has become disillusioned with religion, and is looking for answers. If you reject religion, does this mean there's no god? That sort of thing.
