My cat was about 14 when he was diagnosed with diabetes and the symptoms that I noticed most were excessive thirst and he would urinate a lot, I mean in a day he would fill his litter box. Turns out he was diabetic and required an insulin shot twice a day, but he lived for 7 years after that.
