How do you know when your toe is broken?

besides x rays, and it's my big toe.

It hurts like hell for more that a couple of hours. And you don't sing laaaaaaa ,you sing $&@@@!!!!!!

Is it bruised? Swollen? Bent weird? and of course, the obvious..does it hurt?

It happened an hour or so ago. And it only hurts if I bend it back.

Well its possible it is broke...I kicked someone in the shin one time and broke my big toe, it didnt heal for a good 2 months. I Know your pain, trust me. Put some ice on it and try not to do what ever you did to break it.:)

its hard to tell with toes because the joints are so very close together. try to wiggle the base of your big toe, to see if your metatarcel is broken. then try to wiggle the bottom half, to see if that is moveable. you wouldnt be able to put pressure on it at all.

you cant get support to walk. if u dint feel the pain of not having toes. you will fell down while climbing steps
