How do I put my signature my Verizon wireless iPhone?

To add your signature, first go to the settings menu and select mail then to contacts and calendars. Then scroll to the bottom of the page to locate the Signature item and select it. Once it opens, you can type whatever text you want to appear when you send a message using your iPhone.

I did that and the signature continues to go to the email... Not to messaging.
