Is there any way to stop Ask becoming an agony-aunt site which primarily answers silly questions from love-lorn teenagers?
The quality of questions asked is becoming sillier as young teens seek to find out "Does he/she like me?" "Is my crush cheating when he/she texts my ex?" "Am I pretty?"
Over the past few months the inanity level has gone through the ceiling and the site is cluttered with rubbish that the mods probably don't have time to delete. (Eleven mods to cover Ask 24/7 doesn't allow much supervision.)
Today we lost Melloblue (soldier / lawyer / teacher / artist / musician / singer) after his satirical answer was deleted by a Mod who allowed a host of kiddie posts to remain. We can't afford to lose people of his calibre.
Is there any way to make this site more adult-friendly or do we abandon it and leave it to the children?
