How do I make an old fashioned thermometer look like i have a fever?

my mom always sits right next to me while its in my mouth, so how do i do it without her noticing?

Well, Put it in some hot water before hand when she is not watching..and put it in your mouth before it cools down..Or swallowing some warm water. Not burning hot but still.
Ive done it before when I was little.

Yu could also move it around under yur tongue too.

Don't, whatever you are trying to get out of is just going to catch up with you later. PS, it can be dangerous to try to heat that type of thermometer up because they can break leaking mercury.
