Why do people think Jimmy Page is a better guitarist than David Gilmour when I know David Gilmour is the best?

Everyone has his or her own taste and preference. It could be that you find something in David Gilmour that others don't and so your tastes differ. It could also be that you love his sense of music whereas many don't.
