While the standard of living is on the rise in Russia, an alarming 20 percent of the country makes below the median income. This means that there is a serious disparity between the poorest people and the richest people in Russia. About 13 percent of Russians now live below the poverty line, but this has declined steadily in recent years.

Medium in most areas, but there is quite a bit of poverty in a lot of parts of the country. Constantly on the rise, though :)
