My car would shake right when i reached about 45 miles per hour and in my case, some of the bolts under the car were loose and had to be tightened back down. but it could be something with the motor, like if it wasn't timed right. and it wasn't in sync...does the engine rev and idle fine.

Yeah every thing is good it just shakes when it reaches 40
Report as
wow this could be okay. a wheel specialist should be able to look at the alignment and make sure that everything is tightened

Make sure your tired are aired up properly. Then check to make sure none of your rims are bent (have you hit a curb lately?). Alignment? Lose/broken Tie rod?

Ever rotate your tires?

if you mean at highway speeds.
Go to a tire place and say "balance my front wheels ". no more than $20

Unless you look at all the tires and decide to rotate them front to rear.
Then get the 'rotate and balance' deal. $40
They will spin each wheel on a machine and add balance weights at the rim.
Try to watch and ask them if any tires are "out of round".

If it shakes at the red light it needs a tune up.
