What is the best thing to put on sun burn

Try apple cider vinegar. You can put it in a spray bottle to avoid rubbing it on. You will smell funny but it feels so good. It's the only thing that helped me when I had the worst sunburn of my life due to antibiotics.

Try something with extra aloe for faster relief. this is just a suggestion.
