why do yeast infections occur?

Yeast infections are caused by a fungus called candida. When a overgrowth of yeast occurs, then you get a yeast infection. Yeast overgrowth comes from things like, the use of antibiotic use, pregnancy, uncontrolled diabetes or an impaired immune system.
