Erteszek, the daughter of a Polish corsetiere, invested $10 to rent a sewing machine, which she operated at her kitchen table, according to Olga Lingerie, Inc. Between 1950 and 1973, she was granted more than 23 patents and became known for her original use of color and fabric. She soon expanded her product line to include bras, panties, slips and robes. Erteszek took her company public and, by 1984, it had reached $67 million in annual revenues.

Olga products are found in department and chain stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico, such as Kohl's, Sears and JC Penney.
