Remove the green from your hair by washing it in ketchup, letting the ketchup soak into your hair, rinsing the ketchup free, and rewashing your hair with conditioner. This takes between 20 and 30 minutes and requires ketchup and cool water.
- Massage the ketchup into your hair
Carefully massage some ketchup into your hair. The amount depends on how much hair you have, but be generous. Work the ketchup throughout all of your hair, including every strand.
- Allow the ketchup to soak into your hair
Allow the ketchup to soak into your hair for up to 30 minutes. This time is necessary for the acid in the tomatoes to eat through the chemicals causing your hair to turn green. The red tones help to counteract the green ones and return your hair to its natural color.
- Rinse out your hair
Once the ketchup has thoroughly soaked into your hair, rinse with cold water. Be thorough, and remove all of the ketchup. If the green tint remains, repeat the process.
- Treat your hair with conditioner
After removing the ketchup, add some conditioner to your hair, work it through the locks, and rinse it out. Repeat as often as necessary to remove the smell of ketchup from your hair.
