During tax time, from January through April, the company cashes tax checks of up to $7,500 for the same price. Customers who load their money on a Walmart MoneyCard will save the typical reloading fee. Only $1,000 at a time may be loaded onto a MoneyCard.
To cash a check at Walmart, a customer will need to bring in the pre-printed check, a valid photo ID and social security number to be entered on a PIN pad. Checks may be cashed at the customer service counter or at any register.
