To practice for the LPN entrance exam, a person should study and practice reasoning ability, reading comprehension, language skills and numerical ability. The entrance exam is the Test of Essential Academic Skills, or TEAS test, and it is something that is widely used by allied health and nursing schools throughout the country.

The reasoning ability and reading comprehension parts evaluate a person’s ability to understand and retain information. The language skills portion of the test looks at a person’s ability to spell, use vocabulary and properly use grammar. The numerical ability part of the exam looks at basic mathematical operations, applying math skills in real life, percents, fractions and decimals.
