Is Colgate University an Ivy League School?

Colgate University is not a member of the Ivy League athletic conference. The eight Ivy League schools are Harvard University, Princeton University, Yale University, Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania and Dartmouth College.

According to the Patriot League, Colgate University was founded in 1819 and is located in Hamilton, NY. The college’s colors are maroon and white, and its mascot is the Raiders. Colgate has been a member of the Patriot League athletic conference since 1990. The other nine institutions that make up this league are American University, Boston University, Bucknell University, The College of the Holy Cross, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Loyola University-Maryland, the U.S. Army (West Point) and the U.S. Navy (Annapolis).
