The ACCUPLACER test is used as a device to measure a student’s placement into appropriate level courses in reading, English and math. Although students cannot fail the ACCUPLACER test, the score may indicate that a student needs to enroll in a developmental course prior to the first-year math or English courses to obtain more skills in a particular subject.
