An IQ, or intelligence quotient, score of 127 is considered a high IQ score. Around 15 percent of the population has an IQ of 115 or more.
Around 2 percent of the world's population has an IQ of more than 130: the standard required to become a member of MENSA, which is the International High IQ Society. Those with intelligence scores of 130 or more to be considered "gifted." Those who are "highly gifted" have IQs of 140 or greate, while those with IQs of 90 to 109 are "average" intelligence and those from 85 to 89 are dubbed "low average."
