What is Lincoln Tech?

Lincoln Technical Institute trains students in automotive technology, health sciences, skilled trades, cosmetology, culinary arts, business and information technology. As of 2014, campus locations include Columbia, Md., and Philadelphia, Pa. Lincoln awards certificates and associate degrees.

Founded in 1946, the Lincoln group of schools includes the Lincoln Technical Institute among its five divisions. New students partner with an Early Student Engagement counselor who teaches soft skills, such as work ethics and positive attitudes, in a 24-week program to foster success in the workforce. Lincoln also provides financial counseling on managing student debt, career placement services, peer tutoring and life skills training.

Scholarships and student loans help finance a Lincoln education. Lincoln makes a special effort to enroll and support veterans, and holds the Military Friendly School designation. Accreditationa include the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
