British colleges without a ceremony may use matriculation to refer to college enrollment or registration. In some nations, eligibility may include fulfilling academic requirements and taking a matriculation exam. Matriculation refers to the final year of high school in India and South Africa, while in Brazil it refers to enrollment in any education course from elementary through post-graduate school.
