The impala is an African antelope that lives in savannah grasslands and woodlands near water sources. The impala depends highly on water and switches between browsing and grazing depending on the environment. Impalas run fast and can jump at heights near 10 feet. Impalas eat minocot and dicot plants, and they also feed on fruits. There are an estimated 2 million impalas worldwide.
Iguanas are native to Central and South America and the Caribbean. The iguana is a herbivorous lizard ranging in length from 5 to 6 feet, including its tail. Iguanas have excellent vision and can see colors, shapes and movement at long distances. Iguanas use rapid eye movements to communicate with other iguanas. Iguanas are commonly kept as household pets.
The Indian jackal is a subspecies of the golden jackal. It has black and white fur, with black hair mostly on its back and tail. Indian jackals shelter in the outskirts of towns and villages, where they live in holes and dense brush. Indian jackals rarely leave their dens. In addition to fruit, insects and rodents, Indian jackals scavenge food from garbage.
