Is There Really an Elite Way School in Mexico?

The Elite Way School in Mexico does not really exist. The Elite Way School in Mexico City was the setting for the Mexican telenovela “Rebelde,” which aired in 2005 and 2006. “Rebelde” centered around a group of students at the exclusive private boarding school who formed a pop band, which they named “RBD.”

“Rebelde” featured guest appearances by several pop musicians, including Hilary Duff and Lenny Kravitz. The band RBD continued to tour and perform for three years after “Rebelde” went off the air.

“Rebelde” was a remake of an earlier Argentine telenovela, “Rebelde Way,” which aired in 2002 and 2003. In the Argentine series, the Elite Way School, also a private boarding high school, was located near Buenos Aires.
