New York University, or NYU, offers one of the richest and most prominent BFA programs in the country. The Tisch School of the Arts at NYU is the premier acting undergraduate program and it collaborates with major studios such as Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg, making NYU a popular choice.
Everybody has heard of Juilliard because of its long history and rich tradition. Their specialties range across the board as they are one of the more sought after BFA programs in the country. Their performing arts program is unmatched as proven by its extensive list of alumni who are currently performing at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Opera, and the NY Philharmonic. They also have a tremendous acting program and have some of the most well respected and recognized professors.
The Rhode Island School of Design, or RISD, is well known as having the best visual arts program of any undergraduate school. They offer over 16 majors for the visual arts including painting, photography, glassmaking, ceramics, and even multimedia design. They even offer some of the best degrees on interior design and fashion and apparel.
