The Presidential Scholars Award is a great scholarship that is given in increments of $7,500 to 125 students each year. Individuals must be from Minnesota or other states and maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0 and 24 credit hours per year. The individual must also have received an SAT score of at least 1250. To be considered, you must be a freshman who is planning on attending the University of Maine.

The Bruce F. Vento Science Educator Scholarship is available for the benefit of students who are juniors or seniors attended a college or university and are majoring in science education. The scholarship is given in amounts of $5,000 and is renewable each year. Students must excel in their studies and show a definite financial need for the scholarship.
