The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship

The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship is available to students who are residents of Maine, are seniors in high school, and are looking to attend college. The award is given in increments of $1,500 to students for four full years of higher education to cover their expenses. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic prowess. Students should demonstrate financial need, as well as exceptional grades and an exceptional talent for writing. The number of recipients who receive the award varies annually.

Maine Community Foundation Scholarships

The Maine Community Foundation offers great scholarships to Maine students who are looking to attend college, although they do not necessarily have to study in their home state. Requirements for eligibility for the scholarship are maintaining good grades and various other criteria throughout the community. Scholarships through the foundation are renewable on a yearly basis. 



The Liberty Graphics Art Scholarship

A great scholarship that is awarded for the benefit of Maine students is the Liberty Graphics Art Scholarship. Supplied by Liberty Graphics, a design company in Maine, the awards are given in amounts of $1,000 and are delivered on the basis of a contest for students who show exceptional talent in art. The theme for the art is "Art and Our Natural Environment." Any student can enter the contest, as long as they plan to continue their studies in art in college.
