30th Birthday Card Ideas

If one of your buddies or co-workers is celebrating his or her 30th birthday soon, you'll want some birthday card ideas that really stand out. Show how much you care by making your very own, custom birthday card. Homemade birthday cards are a fun, thoughtful way to celebrate someone's birthday if you aren't close enough to exchange gifts but you want to do something more than hand them a store bought card. Plus, making the card can be fun. Just make sure that you know that birthday girl well enough to avoid making a card that could hurt her feelings or offend her!

This Year in History

Make your birthday buddy his very own collage that pictures and describes other important events of the year of his birth. You don't have to copy the store bought version of this card and just like general newsworthy events, though. You can make a historical collage of events that are somehow interesting or significant to the birthday boy. For example, if he is into basketball, make a collage with all of the most interesting developments in the NBA from the year of his birth. If your co-worker loves rock music, you could make her a collage depicting all of the biggest hits of her birth year. This card is easy to make no matter how uncreative or inartistic you are.

Birthday Coupons

If you want to do something special for your friend or co-worker's birthday but don't want to make them feel uncomfortable with a store bought gift, make a card that includes some homemade, personalized coupons. For example, you could make a card that includes coupons for happy hour drinks on the day of her choice or some other sort of favor. Friends and coworkers with young children might enjoy babysitting coupons. Co-workers will appreciate coupons for coffee runs; you can offer to make it your responsibility to run down to your local coffee shop and pick up breakfast for a week.
