Founded in 1958 and specializing in nursery and tree production, Collier’s is located in scenic Hudson, New York, home to famous figures such as NY state poet laureate John Ashbury and the composer Philip Glass. Open from Thanksgiving weekend until their selection of trees is sold out, Collier’s is open from 9am to 3:30pm and sells pre-cut trees, offers the ability to cut your own tree, custom wreaths, garland, and arrangements. After you choose your tree, make sure and stop by the Greens Shop to peruse the selection of unique and delightful decorations.
Located in the small hamlet of Center Moriches in Suffolk Country, NY on Long Island, Paul’s is open from 10am to 9pm from the day after Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve. Paul’s features a wide selection of choose and cut tree species that you’ll be able to choose from including Norway Spruce, White Spruce, Blue Spruce, White Pine and Douglas Fir. However, if you do choose to cute your own tree call ahead to ensure the type of tree you want isn’t sold out. If you don’t wish to cut down your own tree, available pre-harvested trees include Canadian pre-cuts, Frasier Fir, and Balsam Fir. In addition to a nice selection of trees, when visiting Paul’s you can visit with the farm animals or visit the gift shop to purchase a beautiful hand painted bulb or select a fragrant wreath.

Owned and operated by Bill and Otti O’Neill since 1983, the Spruce Run is a 55-acre tree farm located between Corning and Watkins Glen, NY. The O’Neill’s take great pride in the growing of their trees in order to ensure you have the most beautiful trees to choose from each year. A cut-your-own-tree operation, Spruce Run offers an assortment of trees to choose from including Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir, Fraser Fir, White Spruce, Norway Spruce, and Scotch Pine. Like many of the other farms, Spruce Run also features a shop where you can purchase, in addition to decoration, items you’ll need to set up your tree.
Located in the Appalachian Mountains of Schuykill County, Ruff’s is one of the oldest Christmas tree farms, having been established prior to WWII. Open from the Friday after Thanksgiving and weekends from 9am to 5pm, Ruff’s offers select pre-cut and the option of cutting your own tree from a variety of Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Douglas Fir, Canaan Fir, and Turkish Fir. Additionally, if you are planning on purchasing your tree from Ruff’s you and your family can make a real outing of the day and enjoy the scenery while taking a tractor ride on an 18th Century Logging Trail, going on a free hayride, enjoy the complimentary hot chocolate and cookies around fireplace in barn or roasting marshmallow around campfire.
Located in Syracuse, NY, the Syracuse Christmas Tree Farm is open from 9am to 7pm Thanksgiving to December 23rd. For those who choose to cut their own tree, Syracuse Christmas Tree offers Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, White Spruce, Blue Spruce, and Balsam Fir. For those purchasing pre-harvested trees the Syracuse Christmas Tree Farm offers Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir that are displayed in the spacious barn where you can enjoy a free hot coffee or hot chocolate while selecting your tree.
