These tiny headphones are made pretty much exclusively for sound connoisseurs who want the perfect sound quality for everything they listen to. They are somewhere in between ear buds and Bluetooth headsets. They wrap around the back of your earlobe, keeping the pressure off the inside of your ear while you use them, so you hardly remember they are even there. However, these Shure headphones are incredibly expensive, ranging between three hundred and four hundred dollars a pair, so you'll have to really want or require good sound quality for your work to purchase them.
AiAiAi TMA1 Headphones
These big, classic headphones are meant for professional DJs who are playing in large, loud clubs so they can hear exactly what they are playing and adjust the sound quality from loud to subtle notes. They are best for sounds with heavy bass, but they work for just about every type of music, be it a live concert to just sitting on a plane trying to squeeze the best possible sound quality out of The Hangover 2. These headphones cost about two hundred dollars new, making them high end in price but not outrageous.
Bose QuietComfort 3 Headphones
Bose has always been one of the best speaker and headphone companies out there, and these headphones are their current crown jewels, offering the quality of a full speaker system on your head. They are noise-canceling headphones, but they aren't terribly large. However, they are expensive, priced at about three hundred and fifty dollars new. Note, though, that with Bose you usually get what you pay for.
Koss PortaPro Headphones
While you may look a little like you are wearing headgear when you have them on, the Koss PortaPros are some of the best headphones out there. They are also shockingly cheap, at about thirty-five dollars brand new. They are great for everything, from watching movies, to listening to music, and to even recording music.
