All About the Proxxon Sander

Proxxon sanders feature a proprietary, high-revving permanent magnetic motor that runs quietly and without significant vibration. Detail Sander OZI 115/E

The Proxxon Detail Sander is designed for fine, delicate sanding work. It has a triangular sanding head with 2.5 inches on a side. The tool features an oscillating sanding motion, the speed of which can be adjusted to any level between 3,000 and 10,000 oscillations per minute. It is well suited to working with virtually any material, including wood, metal, ceramic, plastic, and glass. The tool is nine inches long and weighs 1.2 pounds.

Belt Sander BSL 115/E

The Proxxon BLS 115/E is a handheld belt sander designed for tight and unusually shaped spaces. It uses a 13-inch by 13/32-inch sanding belt. This sander features an easily adjustable swiveling belt arm, which can be locked in place anywhere along a 60-degree arc. The unit is less than 14 inches long and weighs 1.4 pounds. It is a great tool for modeling, auto work, and all kinds of general grinding applications.

Belt Sander BBS/S

The Proxxon BBS/S is a larger belt sander designed for flat bench work and two-hand operation. It uses a sanding belt approximately 1.5 by 10.5 inches. When installed, the sanding belt is positioned flush on the left side of the tool so that it leaves no un-sanded strips along a corner. This unit weighs just over 1.5 pounds.
