The Pure Collection History

In 2002, Nick Falkingham and Adam Holdsworth founded Pure Collection with the vision to produce classic and elegant designs with modern sensibilities from quality fabrics. The company’s mission is to produce high-end luxury wear from cashmere of the finest premium grade available in Inner Mongolia.

Sustainable Cashmere Production and Manufacturing at Pure Collection

The cashmere products from Pure Collection are 100% guaranteed sustainable since April 2008. Furthermore, the goatherds belonging to Pure Collection in Inner Mongolia are controlled to produce the finest quality fibers. Pure Collection controls the goats’ diet and the quantity of their consumption, as well as their breeding and the temperatures they are kept in. After the cashmere at Pure Collection goes through a rigorous screening process, tested for color, length and thickness, the material gets spun and knit by Inner Mongolian craftsmen.

The dyeing and finishing of cashmere fabrics at Pure Collection are metal and AOX-free. Pure Collection is in compliance with the ecological standards for dyeing. The waste water that is released after dyeing cashmere knitwear at Pure Collection gets treated and recycled locally.

Pure Collection works towards using biodegradable sources for packaging all products. Shipment of Pure Collection items is made in large bulks to reduce the environmental impact from transportation. All print catalogues are made from certified eco-friendly papers.

Pure Collection Cashmere Cardigans

What’s a cardigan if not cashmere? Pure Collection offers a variety of cashmere cardigan styles including the Cashmere Waterfall Cardigan in black or sand. This soft cashmere comes in a waterfall silhouette with long sleeves that can be rolled back and buttoned. For a stylishness to fit the summer season, consider the Gassato Cashmere Cardigan made from light, pure cashmere knit with ruffled edges. This item is available in ash, navy, soft apple, soft truffle, silver and soft white. For a classic look, there is always the V-Neck Cashmere Cardigan with long sleeves, neat cut and tailoring and button-down front. This cardigan is available in ash, black, heather lime, heather silver, navy, sand, soft orange and washed indigo. For a longer style more fitting for the fall, consider the Longline Rib Detail Cashmere Cardigan in either ash or sand. Other Pure Collection Cashmere Garments

Cashmere Care

Cashmere garments require hand wash care in warm water. Pure Collection offers the Cashmere Wash solution, which helps with cashmere cleaning and maintenance. After washing, cashmere items must be laid out flat to dry and reshaped while still damp. Do not stretch cashmere items.

Pure Collection does not recommend machine washing, but front load or modern machines in delicate cycles may be acceptable so long as the temperature remains at 30 degrees Celsius. Turn the garments inside out beforehand then insert them into a pillowcase and tie it off. This will retain the garment’s overall shape. If stains cannot be removed, the cashmere garment may be dry cleaned.

If your cashmere garment shows signs of pilling, use the Pure Cashmere Comb to gently remove the pill balls.
