The Tara Jarmon label is synonymous with Parisian femininity, but with clothing available in shops all over Europe and online retailers such as ShopStyle.com, it is possible for all women to get their hands on her sleek, stylish wares. Read on for a glimpse of the Spring and Fall 2011 collections.
For Spring/Summer 2011, the designer trotted out clothing that was demure and sexy at once. The first look was a soft leather blazer in a light brown worn over a yellow blouse and a full skirt. Any of these pieces would transition well from an air-conditioned office to an outdoor event. Other sleek toppers included a metallic collarless jacket and a mint green one with a Peter Pan collar. The palette was muted tan and off-white marked by splashes of yellow, green, blue, and orange. The stand-outs: high-waisted floral shorts, a black shift with a leather bodice, and a long-sleeved white dress with an A-line cut and pockets at the hip.
For the cooler months, Tara Jarmon provided skirts, sweaters, and jackets in burnt orange, deep brown, blush pink, and berry. Wear a crisp white blouse with a giant bow at the neck under a structured jacket. Throw on a 1960s-inspired tweed coat to ward off wintery frost. Inject some autumnal florals in the shape of a loose top tucked into a pencil skirt. The most striking pieces include a camel hued cape, an equestrian-style blazer, sheer black blouses, and a frothy fur coat in a Mod shape. A series of dresses near the end of the show were perfect for any cocktail occasion, most notably a black velvet number with little bubble sleeves and a strapless tulle concoction with a striking black sash.
Wear Tara Jarmon whenever you want to feel sexy and fashionable without sacrificing comfort and practicality.
