In addition to being the United States’ first business school, the Wharton School also boasts the nation’s largest alumni network. There are approximately 25 research centers at Wharton student’s disposal, along with 150 organizations to join. There are currently 1687 students enrolled at the Wharton school. Tuition for a full-time student is $48,550 (no difference between in state and out of state tuition). The average base salary for graduates is $113,888.
The Booth School of Business is located in Hyde Park, Illinois, commonly considered to be a center of culture and art. Full time MBA students may participate in a standard two-year program and part time MBA students may complete their degree through evening and weekend courses. Students also have the choice of pursuing a joint degree with the University’s school of law, medicine, public policy, and social service. Approximately 2,800 students are currently enrolled in the Booth school of business. Tuition for a full time student is $50,900 per year. Average base salary for graduates is $108,045.
The business school for the University of Illinois Urbana is modest in size, with a current enrollment of 207 students. Approximately 29% of applicants are accepted into the program. Tuition for full time in state students is $17,500. Tuition for full time out of state students is $27,826. Average base salary for graduates is $87,828 with 61.5 percent of graduates holding employment at the time of graduation.
The Ross School of business emphasizes interactive learning, designed to have student ask prudent questions, identify pertinent problems, and to become good leaders. There are currently 1500 students enrolled at the Ross School. Approximately 25% of applicants are accepted into MBA programs. Tuition is $45,000 per year for full time in state students and $50,000 per year for out of state students. Average base salary of graduates is $98,720.
