You do not need to ride horses or rope cattle for a living to own a really cool pair of cowboy boots as a woman. In fact, you do not even need to be into line dancing or country music! Ropers, not to be confused with the brand Ropers, are cowboy boots that were made for rodeo cowboys who need to be able to ride horses in them and quickly mount and dismount. Since they are made for quick dismounts, they have much shorter, squared heels. They also have roomy, rounded toes and shorter shafts than classic cowboy boots. Ropers are much more comfortable for you to walk in than regular cowboy boots and they sort of look like a hybrid between work boots and classic cowboy boots. Since they are a bit more masculine looking, you should try pairing them with a floral print sundress.
Dress Boots
At the other end of the cowboy boot spectrum from ropers, you can find dress boots. Dress boots are similar in shape to classic cowboy boots but may have taller heels. They also come with shafts of all lengths; some are ankle boots and others may rise all the way up your thigh. You can distinguish dress boots from classic cowboy boots by their fine leather and details. Dress boots come in material like snakeskin and may come in bright colors or studded with rhinestones. They look best with skinny jeans and a plain top.
