Best Hairstyles for Prom When You Have Unpredictable Hair

If your teenaged hair is as unpredictable as the weather sometimes, then you'll want to select a hairstyle for prom that is appropriate for your hair. While it doesn't matter much on school days, as you can wear a hat or just pull your hair back on those bad hair days, the way your hair looks at prom is a different, as this is one of the most important nights of your teenaged life. Below are a few tips of ways to wear your hair and prom if you can't rely on it looking a certain way when you wake up that morning.

Pin It Up

For the ladies out there, styling your hair up in a bun or a beehive with pins, hair spray and various other accessories to keep it firmly in place is one of the best solutions for unpredictable hair on prom night. This vertical styling can look both elegant and sexy, adding a slender look to your face an the rest of your outfit. While you don't necessarily want your hairdo to be as tall as Marge Simpson's, keeping it up and controlled will keep it predictably together.

Curl It

Also for the ladies: if you can pull off a curly hairstyle with your prom dress, then consider this hair style for your unpredictable hair on prom night, as it will keep it from getting out of control, for at least a little while. However, if your hair is already naturally curly, don't go this route, as curling will only encourage the hair to go even more out of control and frizz later in the night.

Own the Wildness

For guys in particular, unpredictable hair is sometimes a great thing. rather then spending a lot of time worrying about cutting and styling it, just own the long wildness of it on prom night. Pull it out, wear it like a mad scientist of rock star. It won't matter to much, as long as you have a great looking tux.
