A discount store that's run by Neiman Marcus, CUSP sells quite a few party dresses that will work well for the first night of 2012.
The Rebecca Taylor Beaded Feather Party Dress, which sells for $495, is a great pick. The dress is made of a peacock beaded satin with a strapless neckline in a sweetheart shape, feathers adorning the bodice and an A-line skirt that falls to the middle of the thigh. The dress also has cute smocked paneling that frames the back zip to make movement comfortable and elegant.
CUSP also sells the Alice + Olive Heidi Full Skirt Party Dress, which goes for $495 as well. This tan and black skirt has an ultra shirred bodice, a shiny belt and a full length skirt. This all black dress has a 100% polyester body, falls above the knee and has an open neckline. The strapless Merona dress has a seductive open back as well, in addition to its pleated waist and finished lower hem.

Lastly, for a standout look for the end of the year, try the Alex and Eve Ruffle Party Dress, which you can buy at Dillard's for $180. This bright pink dress has a full satin body that's layered with rows of ruffles. The dress also has thin pink spaghetti straps, a removable rhinestone studded belt and a bodice with a bit of spandex, making for a comfortable and body hugging look you're sure to love.
