The Best Sports Bras

Finding the best sports bra is not as simple as just finding a bra that fits correctly. The best sports bra depends on not only fit, but what activity you'll be doing in it. A running bra has distinct differences from a yoga bra, and making sure that the high quality one you pick is also a correct match for your sport is essential.

Lululemon

For low to moderate impact activities, Lululemon is the leading brand of bras that are just the right amount of support. An added side benefit is that everything they make is also fashionable enough to walk to your yoga class from your car in without feeling self-conscious. Founded by a new yoga convert in 1998, the company dedicated itself to creating yoga wear that was appropriate enough to the sport, specifically that yoga teachers could wear it. Their bras are comfortable and supportive, and match the clothing line also available.

CW-X

For medium impact sports such as bicycling or hiking, the CW-X line from Wacoal comes out on top. All pieces in this line were developed through studying the electrical impulses in muscles, and the way it creates movement. Their bras feature mesh vents below the bust line and between the breast for an additional level of comfort through coolness. The mesh venting doesn't lessen the support, however, which is reinforced with star shaped webbing in the cups.

Bendon

High impact sports such as running and tennis demand a high performance bra. Bendon Sports Bras are designed to make sure women can take on the highest impact of activities, and still feel comfortable. A New Zealand based brand, which has expanded into the American market, many of the Bendon sports bras designed incorporate molded cups in order to ensure as little movement as possible during your hardest workouts.
