While a warm fall coat can be an elegant piece in and of itself, one of their main problems is that they cover up whatever top you happen to be wearing. With a fashionable fall vest on the other hand, you can show off your favorite new sweater or top and keep warm! This fall, Neiman Marcus is stocking a ton of high end fall vests. While many of them break the bank, they're designed to last you for the rest of your life and even be passed down to your daughter or granddaughter. Neiman currently sells the Tasha Tarno Pocket Detailed Fox Vest, which goes for $1,190. This one has a black dyed fox fur body with a spread collar, hidden hook and eye closures down the front and full coverage through the shoulder. The vest also has angled welt pockets and a low hem that comes down past the traditional vest hemline.
If you like the look of fur but don't want to imagine animals being killed for fashion, get the Kay Unger New York Faux Fur Vest. This one sells for $290 and has a stone brown faux fur body with a stand collar, open front and slash pockets at the waist. The vest also has a straight hem and full shoulder coverage. They also carry the Isda & Co. Faux Shearling Vest, which sells for $238. This one has a sportier look with an elastic waistband, a removable plush faux fur neck and a quilted lining. The vest also has on seam pockets and a front zip closure with an overlapping snap placket.
For a more bohemian vest, get the Sanctuary Charlie Faux Shearling Vest, which sells for $130. This one comes in cognac and has a peaked hem, a boucle interior and a stylish fold over collar. The jacket also has exposed exterior sesame and an outdoorsy look.
