Buying a Vancouver Grizzlies Jersey

By Marco Cuoco , last updated July 11, 2011

The Vancouver Grizzlies were an expansion NBA franchise that was established during the 1995 season along with the Toronto Raptors as the NBA tried to increase its fan base to those respective Canadian markets.  Unfortunately, the experiment was short lived as the Vancouver team relocated to Memphis after the 2000-2001 season where they are now the Memphis Grizzlies.  Though the Memphis Grizzlies apparel shares a lot of similarities with the Vancouver look, there are some differences.  The Vancouver team had a very retro look with a Grizzly bear grasping onto a basketball and the signature colors were teal and white.  Though the franchise was not very popular during its tenure, the team jerseys have grown in popularity due to cool retro 1990s basketball look it epitomizes.  The team featured some high caliber players such as Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Mike Bibby, and Steve Francis.  Nowadays, getting your hands on one of these players Vancouver Grizzlies jerseys is tough to do, though taking the time to look may provide you with a rare and unique NBA jersey you’d be sure to cherish for years to come.
