Cellulite-Fighting Food Options

Cellulite is one of the things women despise and fear the most, but there are many different foods that can help to combat cellulite and even prevent it from forming in the first place. The first thing you should remember is foods containing a lot of water will help to keep the skin supple and smooth. These foods are products you probably eat on a daily basis anyway, such as tomatoes and apples. Kiwifruit, papaya, watermelon, grapes, cucumber and celery are a few other options you can try to help keep skin healthy. Fruits rich in vitamin C help prevent against collagen breaking down, which could lead to the appearance of cellulite.

Another important factor in the buildup of cellulite, which is also known as fat, is sugar. A high intake of sugar, especially processed sugar, causes spikes in insulin production. Insulin tells your body to store fat rather than burn it, which will lead to a buildup in all the wrong places, such as thighs, hips, and butt. So, ditch the processed foods such as white flour and white rice. Instead, switch to whole grains. Not only will this help combat sugar spikes but it will help to keep you feeling fuller longer because of the grains and fiber that can be found in these food items.

You also want to make friends with fats, healthy fats that is. It seems everyone is raving about non-fat diets, but these tend to end in failure because they don't satisfy. Plus, they are unhealthy. You need healthy fats in your diet, such as almonds, olive oil, nuts, seeds, and certain types of fish.

If you have already started to notice cellulite forming, get proactive. Eat right but exercise as well. The only way to get rid of rat is to burn more calories than you consume. So start burning!
