If you are looking for a fun new Christmas idea, why not try a clay pot Christmas craft? It’s easy, creative and fun to find a new purpose for clay pots. Before you start make sure to have patio paint in the colors that you prefer, industrial strength adhesive and a paintbrush. Tip: you can purchase patio paint at many different retailers, for example Wal-Mart or Michaels.

If you are looking for a fun craft idea to do with the kiddies, you should make the clay pot snowman. Paint a small clay pot white with patio paint and let it dry. Turn it upside down and glue a white Styrofoam ball to the top to make the snowman’s head. Glue a doll’s winter hat to the top of the head. Using a black thin marker, draw eyes, nose and a mouth to make the face. Cut up a piece of fabric and wrap it around the bottom of the Styrofoam ball as a scarf. Glue two buttons to the center of the pot going vertically to add some cute detail. This will surely be a Christmas craft that your kids will always remember making and want to display every year.

If you have a sweet tooth and want to make a display for your home or if you are looking for a simple craft to bring to your desk at work to win over some of your coworkers, you should try the candy dish clay pot. Buy a clay pot and some candy canes. Paint and decorate the pot with whatever colors you want. A cute saying that you might want to paint on the pot is “Have a Sweet Christmas”. Throw in your favorite flavor candy canes and it becomes an instant personalized candy dish. If you are using this at your home an additional idea might be add your children’s names to the pot as well.
