Cocktail Party Centerpieces

Finding fun and creative cocktail party centerpieces needn't require a call to the local catering or special events company. Often, you can use supplies found right around your own home to create beautiful and creative cocktail party centerpieces. Complete these simple steps to decide on the perfect centerpiece for your next cocktail party.

Choose Your Theme

The first step is to choose the theme of your cocktail party. This is easy if it is a birthday or holiday party, but if you just want to host a cocktail party for summer fun or to toast the start of fall, then consider the occasion and decorate accordingly.

Create the Menu

If you are featuring your signature martinis, having a beer fest, or hosting a scotch tasting party, all of these can factor in to the type of centerpiece you will choose to decorate your table the night of our event.

Select the Centerpiece

There are a wealth of pre-made cocktail party centerpieces that can be ordered online or purchased from a local party supply center. However, it is also possible to make your own centerpiece. For a birthday cocktail party, place photos of the guest of honor in the center of the table, complete with a stand to hold the candle-studded cake when that time comes. For a spring cocktail celebration, pick fresh flowers from your garden and arrange a festive bouquet for your centerpiece. For a holiday cocktail party, choose a centerpiece that reflects the occasion, be it Fourth of July or Thanksgiving. It can also be fun to ask your guests to help you create the centerpiece decoration, asking them to bring memorabilia for a cocktail reception for an anniversary, birthday, renewal of vows or wedding shower.
