Different Ways to Wear a Scarf

Scarves are a versatile addition to any outfit, as well as a popular item that can be worn different ways during every season. Learning various ways to wear this accessory can nearly double your closet and completely revitalize your wardrobe, all while making you look like a budding fashionista.

The most popular scarf so far has been the light and thin rectangular pashmina that comes in every color imaginable. This scarf is typically wrapped around the neck once and hangs down in the front of the body. A great twist on this is to simply sling the scarf around your neck, pick your favorite thick belt and belt it around your waist and over the scarf.

Another way that a pashmina is commonly worn is by halving it, placing it around the neck and pulling the ends through the loop in front. A slightly more complicated version of this is called four in hand. To create this knot start by folding the scarf in half lengthwise. Next place the scarf behind your neck so that the loop and the ends line up in the front. Take one end and place it through the loop. Twist the loop 180 degrees so that a figure 8 is created. Slide the other end through that loop and pull to secure.

A completely different way to wear this scarf is to fold it in half to create a triangle. Hold the triangle in front of your body and tie the ends behind your neck. From here you can either leave the ends hanging behind you or move them around to the front and tuck them into the triangle. There are so many more types of scarves like circle scarves and square scarves so this is just a starting point in expanding the wearablility of the pashmina.
