Fun Prints Available for Vans Shoes

Vans, which are casual rubber deck shoes with skateboarding appeal, were first sold un 1966 by Paul Van Doren in Anaheim, California. As the company grew in popularity, thanks to their rugged design and sticky, high-traction soles, Vans became the skaters’ footwear of choice. Now, Vans continues to manufacture quality skate shoes, but the company also reaches far beyond their original Southern California clientele. Printed Vans slip-on shoes are popular for skaters and non-skaters alike. The comfort and ease of the Vans, combined with the ability to customize their look, let wearers express their quirky personalities on their feet. Printed Vans shoes add a pop of fun into your look.

The Vans Checkerboard Slip-On is the company’s classic print. Although most commonly seen as a black and white checkerboard pattern, this print can be ordered in more than 22 colors directly from the Vans’ online shop. From the boldly contrasting hot pink and black, to the subtly printed white on white, you can find the checkerboard pattern that fits into your wardrobe for $45.00, available in both men’s and women’s sizes.

The Doodlerock Vans Slip-on look as though you let your talented cartoonist friend trick out your pair of plain white or black slip-ons. The words in the print’s design look hand written and the images look sketched. The Doodlerock is a fun, youthful shoe for $42.00, also available in both men’s and women’s sizes.

The Paint Stomp SK8-Hi is a pair of sturdy white canvas high-tops decorated with paint splatter in red or black. The Paint Stomp’s paint design does not look as though someone flicked the shoes with a paintbrush. Instead, the shoes look as though the wearer went puddle jumping in thick paint, covering their shoes. This print is available for $55.00 in most men’s sizes, and women’s size 10 or larger.

Vans shoes are also available in a number of fun plaid patterns. The Patchwork Plaid Slip-On is a plain print made with shades of gray, black and white for $55.00. The Custom Plaid Slip-On is similar to the Patchwork Plaid, but includes shoots of blue striping through the black and white plaid. The Pearl Jam Sk8-Hi is a high-top with a red and black flannel print on the ankle and body of the shoe, for $65.00.

For all Hello Kitty fans, it should be exciting to hear that Vans have teamed up with Sanrio to create a line of Hello Kitty printed Vans. The Hello Kitty Authentic shoes, $50.00, are similar to the slip-on style in shape but include a small tongue with red laces. They have a black base with white outlined images of Hello Kitty’s face and body with red printed hair bows. The Hello Kitty Authentic Lo Pro also include the adorably iconic Sanrio character, but add a brighter pop of color than the previously described pair of Hello Kitty Vans. The Lo Pro have a pink base, and depict a full color Hello Kitty pattern. They have white rubber soles and white laces, and are available for $50.00.

You can also order a customized pair of Vans. The online custom creator allows you to design a pair of Vans with custom binding, elastic, rubber, and base canvas. Custom Vans start at $60.00.
